ESPN Ranks Omri Casspi 3rd Best Rookie

Maurice Brooks over at ESPN, ranks Omri as number three in his Rookie of the Watch. Omri was also ranked third last week.

Omri has a tough road ahead if he is going to try and climb over the number two rookie, Brandon Jennings. Not surprisingly, Tyreke Evans is the number one rookie. As a surrogate Kings fan, I would be very happy for Tyreke and Omri to finish number one and two in the Rookie of the Year balloting. Omri is not ready to assume the spot of number one scoring option so it will be tough for his other stats to push him ahead of Tyreke for Rookie of the Year.

Note - I figure that by Omri's third year in the NBA, he could be scoring over 20 ppg.
